What is the Student Ambassadors Program?

The Twitter Student Ambassadors Program is a program set up to support our enthusiastic student builders. Our leaders and ambassadors are

the heart and soul of our global community – they go above and beyond to give back by passionately running community groups at their schools.

 

If you’re interested in starting a student group for your school, we want to hear from you. Please read through the information below to learn more

about what it means to be a Student Ambassador. Once you’ve read through the details, fill out the short form below to receive an application.

 

Student Ambassador Benefits

Professional Growth 

 We aim to support our ambassadors with mentorship and community management skills

and training to help you be the best leader you can be. You also have access to select Twitter events.

Our large and worldwide community of indie and professional developers,

community organizers, Insiders, and Tweeps allow you to build your professional network.

 

Community Learning & Support

 With our network of developers and community groups, our ambassadors help

educate and expand their communities both online and in-person.

Become a Student Ambassador

 

Qualities of a Student Ambassador:

You are enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate, or PhD program at a college or university

You have at least one academic year left until graduation

You have an approved Twitter Developer Account

You love Twitter and are excited to help design students grow and bring people together

You agree to our Code of Conduct, making the experience safe and inclusive for all attendees

As a student leader, you’re committed to keeping your group active by hosting at least one event per quarter, or two events per semester

 

How to apply:

Make sure you have read the Student Ambassador FAQs 

Read the Community Organizer Code of Conduct and Developer Policy & Agreements.

Check the Twitter Developer Community to see if there's an existing chapter in your location.

If there's a Twitter Developer Community group in your location, contact the current organizer(s) from the Twitter Developer or in-person at an event to express interest in helping as a co-organizer.

If there's no Twitter Ambassador Group in your location, apply here.

 Allow time for your application to be reviewed. If your application has met the above requirements, we will reach out via email to set up a time to answer questions and discuss the program. If the application isn't a good fit, we'll still notify you by email.
