About this event

How does Fake News affect brands and countries’ reputation in 2019?
We will talk about how stories are shaped in 2019 and how to manage your brand in a world of Fake News, bots and noisy social chatter. Who owns the story? Come and find out.

We are super-excited to announce the date for the second Israel Twitter Developers Community Meetup! Come to get a better understanding of how things really work behind the scenes.

Marketers and developers, we'll meet on 06/02 (6 February 2019) and we have very exciting talks for you.

More:
Twitter is now the main social voice of brands.

The narrative of how the brand is perceived is now controlled by the people, and that includes bots, sock puppets, and other malicious actors … life is not getting any simpler.

Presenters:

Haim Vatury (@haimvat), Data @ Twitter. London, England: is coming to Israel from Twitter UK especially to tell you about the next era of innovation for Twitter developers. Haim works in Twitter as a Partner Manager and Data Enterprise Solutions, and he'll be happy to meet investors and developers from Israel at the event.

Noam Rotem (@noamr), “The online gatekeeper of Israeli citizens”: Will talk with us about detecting Twitter bot networks - infrastructure and tools. In his spare time, Noam Rotem reveals bot networks that pollute online political discourse, detects dangerous security breaches in government agencies and private companies, and tries to explain to us citizens how exposed we really are. Don't miss a lecture from a one-man electronic defense army. Joining him will be Yuval Adam (@yuvadm).

Prof. Karine Nahon (@karineb): Society researcher| Prof @ UW + @ IDC_Herzliya | @ ISOCIL | Author of 'Viral Going': Prof. Nahon is an Israeli scientist in the area of information, technology, and society. Her work synthesizes empirical research literature with a combination of information science, politics, sociology and internet studies. Her studies on information and society focus on the power and politics of information. She has developed a network gatekeeping theory and a framework of Information virality. Come learn from this deep-thinking researcher and get smarter about how social media really works!

We put a lot of thought into the content of this event! Every lecture will be up to 30 min and will be chock-full of value for marketers and developers, helping you get ready for 2019 in the world of social media.

Hurry up and reserve your spot! Space is limited, but the beer, pizza, and wine will be unlimited :)
